Daughter of veteran Indian actor, Shakti Kapoor and bollywood singer and actress Shivangi Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor is an Indian film actress and singer who works in Bollywood films. Born on 3rd March, 1989, Kapoor was born and raised in Mumbai. She did her schooling at Jamnabai Narsee School and then enrolled in the American School of Bombay . Later she went to Boston University, but left eventually to act in films. She began her acting career with a brief role in the 2010 heist film Teen Patti which earned her a nomination for Filmfare Best Female Debut , and followed it with her first leading role in the teen drama Luv Ka The End (2011) which won her the Stardust Searchlight Best Actress Award. She rose to prominence for her portrayal as Arohi Keshav Shirke in the 2013 romantic musical Aashiqui 2, which emerged as her first commercial success venture in which she gained positive acclaims and numerous nominations including the Filmfare Award for Best Actress. She subsequently featured in the thriller Ek Villain (2014) and the dance film ABCD 2 (2015), both of which were commercially successful. Kapoor endorses the Anglo-Dutch beauty brand Vaseline and she is also the face for the brand Lakmé. She was also seen in Gori Tere Pyaar Mein alongside Imran Khan and Kareena Kapoor. She also marked her singing debut in the 2014 romantic track Galliyan from her film Ek Villain.
